Fun in the Sun Quilt

I started this quilt! I’m excited. It is challenging my seam matching skills but, I have discovered Clover forked pins that allow me to pin on either side of a seam with one pin. A slightly quicker process than I was using and less thread wasted. Moreover, the forked pins seem to be helping with matching the seams.

When I took the picture below, I had finished 11 of the 15 blocks needed in this style. I have 14 completed now. I still have to square the blocks and make the flip flop blocks so this quilt top is going to take awhile to complete.

Life outside of quilting has been ramping up of late. Now, on a good day, I get one block done. But I am okay with that.
