Sewing was limited this week as we gathered up my sister-in-law and went to Chattanooga, Tennessee to see my youngest son. We stopped by Atlanta, Georgia to see our niece. A fun way to celebrate a birthday and 41 years of marriage.
We returned on Monday and Tuesday I was back at the sewing machine. I began putting the Sawtooth Stars together with black sashing. Here is the first row of stars on the design board.

I may finish this one faster than originally thought especially as I get more comfortable with chain stitching. Chain stitching is where you sew pieces together one after another without stopping. The sewing goes faster using this method.

After finishing a few household chores today, I hope to get back to my sewing machine and this quilt.
Hope y’all are experiencing Christmas in July.
