A first birthday gift for a grand niece. I got it put together on short notice. I used a friend, Teresa, Cricut machine for the name. I’m liking the Cricut.

I started this Christmas Morning Delight wall hanging over a year ago. A few months ago I went to see my friend, Sally, and used her Bernina Q20 sit down machine to quilt this. Finally, this weekend I put the binding and sleeve on. It’s a little wonky but ready to hang on the wall as soon as December gets here.
This weekend Sally is going with me to Jacksonville to check out a Q’Nique PRO 15 longarm quilting machine with a bunch of accessories. I think it’s a good starter machine and a good deal.
My 2024 will be full of fun firsts from learning FMQ on a long arm to using pantographs to learning ruler quilting. Also for fun, in 2024, I’m going to start the year with my oldest son, his fiancée, grandkids and my husband on a 3 day cruise. Best of all, there is my oldest son’s wedding in Glacier National Park in August. A small private affair with parents and children. My husband is going to be the photographer.
Sounds like you have an exciting year ahead!

I love them both! Especially the Christmas quilt. I have one started or maybe two or three but they keep getting pushed back down the list. Yours has such lovely energy in the colors too. Just adorable. I will never be able to do my own long arm quilting. Still trying to manage with my regular machine. My son wanted me to try something like a Cricket to cut fabric but wasn’t sure it would work. I like firsts and trying new things. Lots of inspiration here.
