My Friend Is Talented

This post is not about sewing but I had to share the painting my friend, Melody Alley, did for us.

The painting is of my husband, granddaughter, and me at one of our favorite places. My son took the photograph that she worked from. Melody is so talented.

I haven’t done any sewing since I returned from Minnesota. As you may recall, I flew to the frozen north to be with my brother as he recovered from quadruple by-pass surgery. I had a wonderful visit with both my brothers and the Sheets who opened their home to me. I’m above grateful to them.

I should add I had a wonderful visit with Debbie, my sister-in-law, as well. I’m grateful to her taking me to the airport at the wee hours of the morning.

What I have done since my return is taken a part-time job with Stitches of Love Quilting. It’s a wonderful Company. The company was created by a mother/daughter team. It is a Block of the Month subscription company. You can find out more about the company at
