Yes, the blue, yellow, brown, and white bathroom is gone. The painful to look at Bathfitter’s shower is gone.
It was a long saga. The first contractor we asked for a quote came and looked and said yes he could do the work. Then he disappeared. The second man we reached an agreement and two days before he could start he had a family emergency out of town. Since we didn’t know how long it would take to resolve his situation we opted to find someone else. The third person came in way too high. Finally, we found Mario.
Mario Alanis removed everything down to the studs. He rebuilt the wall and poured concrete into the hole where the shower was. I like a person who see something wrong and makes it right.

We went with a neutral black, white , and gray palette. We can dress it up with different color accessories in future, if we want but, for now, we are happy with neutral.
Now, I need to clean and reorganize my sewing room and guest room as bathroom materials were stored in these rooms while waiting for the work to be done.
A special thanks to our neighbor, Jess, who opened her home to us during the 1 1/2 week it took to renovate the bathroom . And, last, but not least, thank you to Evie who greeted us so warmly every time we came over.

I’d hire Mario for the sewing room organizing. He’d get it done in no time!
