A Quilt for Annabelle

This past weekend we celebrated our granddaughter’s second birthday. For her first birthday, I made a quilt just for her. This was her reaction upon seeing the quilt for the first time.

The hearts and letters were appliquéd and then satin stitched in place. The cream background was quilted in a diamond pattern. The quilt measures approximately 50” x 40”. The design was inspired by quilt by Lisa Ann. Her blog spot has been removed from Pinterest.

The backing was a complimentary floral design. I think it is a design that not too childish and can age with her as she grows up. Hoping she likes it when she gets older.
